I’m from out of town in a place where we don’t have shutters over our windows or doors - the shop opens at 9am. At 8:58 I tried to open the outer doors as I saw someone behind the desk. The outer doors were not locked and were unlatched but didn’t open so I waited. At 9:02 the clerk came and opened the door and aggressively chastised me for trying to enter before he was ready - he was incredibly rude, overly so. He curtly told me he’d open the doors when he was ready and said I could have broken the lock (which wasn’t locked). Terrible experience first thing in the morning. Interestingly, once my husband entered the store the clerk was much more polite.

I rented a box here when I first moved to New Orleans, and I'll rent a box again when I come back for the winter (I'm a snow bird). It's a very handy place to come and pick up mail and packages, and the staff is very personable. I live nearby but my neighborhood is known for package and mail theft, so this was a much more secure option. The store is very community-oriented--I had a microwave to give away and they offered to let me put up a sign on their bulletin board. They printed some documents for me from email, both in color and black and white. There's a little cooler where you can buy cold drinks. You can also ship things, buy postage, buy locally made artist postcards and cards and gifts, and chat with other patrons. Very pleasant. It's a quaint little shop across from Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop and there's a 10 minute passenger pick up spot right outside the door so if you just need to pick up some mail, it's easy to park---which is a blessing in the French Quarter.

On a recent visit to New Orleans and walk down Bourbon Street and FQ, we enjoyed all the fun & party hoopla! Good time, good people, and good food! Yeah, we let the good times roll!

This place is similar to a UPS Store or FedEx store. I brought my items in a big reusable Marshalls shopping bag. They measured my bag, chose a 16x16x16 box. I tied the handles tight so that my my items were secured, placed my entire bag im the box. They taped it up for me. Frdex Ground shipment from New Orleans to Atlanta, the cost was $34, including the cost of the box. They said that I my package should be received they next day.

French Quarter Postial Emporium was able to direct me to Brilliant, Inc, a custom frame shop. Both businesses did an amazing job helping me prep a piece of art for shipping. Their kindness and quick work was truly appreciated. My package was wrapped with extreme care to prevent damage and even survived someone walking across the box marked "fragile, glass, this end up."
