28 Mar 2025 Post Office at 1617 Farnam is OPEN !! 14 Feb 2025 Post Office at 1617 Farnam St. is temporarily closed. . The closure is possibly related to the truck sidewalk collapse on 16th Street on 2 Jan, which revealed problems extending up the alley from 16th street to near 17th street, blocking access to the rear of the Post Office, cutting off deliveries and parking. . The pavement was being undercut by storm drain flow. . Otherwise this is a Great Post Office location providing excellent service to businesses and residents in and near downtown. Assuring secure delivery and mailing. It is really needed.

With construction it's impossible to get to can't even drive to the street

Beth is so lovely and helpful, every time I go to the office she always takes care of me right away and I never had a problem with my packages shipped out from this location. My package shipped from California is experiencing a major delay and I couldn’t get a hold of customer service so I went to the office and Beth got me connected to the right person. Hopefully I’ll receive my mail soon but regardless this location has always been great and I never had problem with it!

I try to avoid this location. Now I have even more reason to do so. It was supposed to be closed for lunch till 2pm (6/20/22). I arrived at 1:59 PM, but at 2:15 PM, it was still closed with no sign of life inside. There should be no guessing as to why the USPS is considered so lowly. The consistently underperform all other means of shipping and can't even be counted on to fulfill normal responsibilities, like be on site.
