Devin Adams 4 months agoI had no idea my experience was going to be so stress-free. They called me right at my appointment, the gentleman hadn't in and out of there including my picture taken under 10 minutes. If I knew it was this easy I would have gone to my passport years ago!
Rio艾維 9 months ago10/9 FOLLOW-UP THOUGHTS: I submitted my application on 9/26 with expedited service both way, and received my passport on 10/6. With Fed Gov shut down looming, I was pleasantly surprised to have my document in hand so quickly. I guess this is a shout out to Sherwood USPS and the passport processing center in Tucson AZ. Thank you! 9/26 I did not have high expectations about the services. It's an processing office and I was just here to take care of business. But after having two encounters with the office staff, I thought they are not that bad. My advice to you is to do your homework 1st. Go to State Dept website to find out exactly what you need to bring then go to USPS.com to make an appt to do what you need. Appointments are every 15 minutes and 3 weeks out. Walk-in is a hit-and-miss and not guaranteed. You definitely have to sign in and wait, until there is a space to squeeze you in. So if you must do this as a Walk-in customer, be ready to be patient and wait a while and not grumble like an old man. Pre-make an appt makes the best sense and be prepared with your fees and paperwork. Then you can be in and out in 15 minutes.
Justin Martin 3 years agoThe whole passport processing system is backed up, appointments are NOT available, and information found on government websites is unclear or missing. Having said that, the folks working here are human and they try to help as much as time will allow. My case is complicated because of kids being born out of the country while I was an expat, but 5 years ago these guys were really helpful, and now again they are great to work with. Certainly a different mind set than what I have found in other government offices.
Zuzana Škorpilová 11 months agoOverall great experience. Making appointment through usps website is quite challenging, but once you get one, everything goes smooth and quick. My appointment was at 10:30. I walked in at 10:23, the office was full of walk-ins so I sat down and pulled out my book. Exactly at 10:30 I was called in and 10 minutes later I was gone. I was thrilled with their promptness and courtesy. Just make that effort to schedule an appointment and you’ll be fine.
Steven Ball 10 months agoI saw all the bad reviews about this place and was questioning whether to go here or not. My wife and I made an appointment on line they are booked like 3 weeks in advance but it appears they add spots daily. There was someone who arrived after us, who was scheduled before us, who was not prepared. They were very loud. They didn’t fill out or print the form the government requires and have it ready. Debbie, the passport facilitator told them they could fill out the form on her computer; they threw a fit and treated her poorly and left. We had printed out the form, made copies of everything we needed plus had the originals with us. We were in and out in like 15 minutes after she first called us. Debbie was nice. She was the only one working in the office at the time. There is a sign when you enter that they don’t take walk ins. Even though their website says they do. They should fix that. Debbie said before Covid they were very busy and had like 6 or 7 people processing passports. Tip. Make sure you have everything prepared and with you. Make an appointment. Don’t go there without one. Make sure your passport photo is recent or they can take your passport photos there.
