This post office stands out from the typical drab locations—it’s more updated and modern, tucked conveniently on the first floor of a high-rise apartment building. The space is clean, well-organized, and easy to navigate. There’s plenty of signage to direct you where to line up for customer service, which made the experience smooth and efficient. They also have a solid selection of packing materials and even a nice variety of greeting cards, which was a pleasant surprise. There’s a section for renting PO boxes as well. The customer service lady wasn’t the most polite person in the world but the clean, modern setup made the visit an acceptable one. Definitely one of the better USPS locations I’ve been to, when ignoring the less than polite customer service person.

If I could give this location zero stars, I would. The two ladies that work there are the rudest women I have ever encountered working in what is basically a customer service role. They seem to go out of their way to actually be condescending and rude to the customers. They also regularly open late or close early. They literally have no regard for the times posted on their door. I've never seen anything like it.

Like many U.S. Post Offices across Washington, D.C., many comment on the "rude staff." Will they rarely smile? Yes. Are they a little abrasive? Yes. Will they ask you to stand back if you're too close to customers in line? Yes. BUT if you have a good attitude and are nice, they will eventually warm up. Stopping in on a Friday afternoon in May, there wasn't a line. It's a narrow location, but sell labels, boxes, and even greeting cards. To ship a mug, I had to buy a label for 99 cents (two come in one purchase) and the worker quickly helped me. Off it went. There's street parking nearby.

It’s bad enough that they are so rude here but today they are closed at noon with nothing indicating why. When they are open they make it a point to let you know you’re a huge inconvenience to them. They would much rather talk to each other and ignore the customer. How is it possible to hire people that clearly hate working with the public, overpay them, give good benefits and retirement with expectations of no service. It’s the reason people have a very low opinion of government workers because the post office is the one Federal office that most people interact with.

This is by far the worst post office I’ve ever visited. When I asked a simple question about my package, the young woman was extremely rude. I understand it’s a small, mostly self-service location; but basic courtesy and helpfulness shouldn’t be too much to ask. Avoid this place if you can.
