First I want to say this is not a bad review. I just simply would like to share my experience at this particular post office in a respectful way I possibly can to raise awareness of how what we say can affect others. Me and my son stop by this post office for the first time to mail off a letter. When it was our turn to approach the counter I let the cashier know that I was mailing off a letter. She asked if I needed a stamped envelope and I said sure. I also asked how much would it cost because I wasn't familiar with the prices of their stamped envelopes as a first time customer. After we proceeded with the transaction i tried using my debit card and accidentally put in the wrong pin because I have so many of them that it's easy to forget. I asked if I could bypass the pin and the cashier said yes and to just press the green button. After we finished I moved down the counter so that the next customer behind me can be served by the cashier. The cashier was polite with me, but while she was serving the next customer after me I heard the manager being friendly with him and telling him that he was the easiest customer to deal with. Now I'm not angry. However I did feel uncomfortable because I received what she said as if it was directed towards me because I forgot my pin to my debit card when it was time to pay for the envelope and because I asked how much was the envelope since I honestly didn't know how much it was ahead of time. I could be wrong but I'm simply sharing that I processed the manager's comment as if it was directed towards me within the moment if that makes sense. I say this to say words can really affect people in a positive or negative way even when we are not aware of it in the moment. Because of what the manager said I'm not sure if I'll feel comfortable visiting this particular post office again or at least for awhile. I hope this helps and hope for the best.

I was just about to pay the processing fee for a passport application, when the card-reader prompted me to leave a review of my experience. Before I could do anything, the lady who helped me during the appointment reached over the counter and pressed the smiley face to indicate that I was satisfied. I was pretty upset, as this was the same person who spent 30 minutes sitting in her car, keeping me and everyone behind me in line waiting, despite all of us being on time for our respective appointments. To her credit, the actual appointment was quick and smooth, but everything else was awful.

I live in New Orleans. I put mail in my outgoing mailbox 70 days ago never been took out of the mailbox never been mailed to where I needed it to be mailed. It was important documents for SSI decision-making on my case and it’s never been taken out of the mail to be processed ridiculous

Ashley was amazing, she was very helpful with my passport application. I was in and out less than 5 minutes. Thanks again Ashley you are the best.

Terrible service. Had a confirmed passport appointment for 12:30. When got there, the only passport woman working had just left to take an hour lunch break. They had a print out of everyone who had appointments that day and their times, so she was fully aware. I guess she just decided it didn’t really matter. Oh, and everyone else’s reviews mentioning the unprofessional attitude and downright rude employees is spot on.
