The service here is abysmal. The bar of their standards for treating their customers with any form of respect is literally in hell. The employees are rude and like to yell at customers I guess. I asked my partner to pick up my package for me. I signed the slip and put their name on it as my registered agent and everything and the clerk needed to see further proof of our residence since our updated address isn’t on their ID. No problem, they said our lease would be fine so we walked all the way home and grabbed that and walked all the way back. Even provided a PECO bill and my expired out of state ID and a couple other pieces of mail I had from the Philadelphia government just in case they needed anything else. Wouldn’t accept any of it. I’m waiting outside as my partner is helping me with this and they ask me to come inside. So I go in and they explain they can’t accept anything we gave them... so I Ask what else they need from us so we can provide it to them and the clerk immediately starts yelling at me because I stated that it was a little ridiculous that we have to do all of this when both of our names are on the slip, we have mail with our names and address, our lease, etc. Umm excuse you?? this is how you treat people when they are asking you what else i can show to you so I can collect my mail?? I’m confused, why so hostile?? We finally were able to pull up our current lease since the paper copy we brought was expired and we were able to get my package. But it just felt absolutely ridiculous and unnecessary being met with so much hostility when I was just asking a simple question. Worse, I filed a complaint and was met with “well sorry you feel that way” pretty much. Did not even acknowledge the horrible behavior of their employee or apologize to me for it. This location sucks. Go to the post office on 4th street instead, the employees are way nicer.

Constantly marks items as delivered even though they aren't. I've had to open a case against them every 6 months for years. If I could prevent someone from using USPS to ever send me anything I would. UPS and FedEx at least hold themselves accountable. The only benefit to using USPS is that I can go in person and yell at them to find my packages, which usually results in me getting handed it in the office. Do better

The Worst Post Office Experience of My Life I’ve been coming to the 925 Dickinson Post Office for over 10 years without a single complaint, but today was hands down the worst experience of my LIFE. After waiting in line for 20 minutes (which I didn’t mind), things went downhill the moment I reached the counter. My package was clearly marked with giant “FRAGILE” stickers, yet the employee flipped it on its side like it weighed nothing. When we went through the standard “liquid, fragile, or perishable” questions, I asked about adding insurance. She told me there’s an automatic $100 included—great. But when I asked to add another $100, she insisted the next level was $500, raising my total from $14.95 to $31.00. I told her that couldn’t be right, but she wouldn’t budge. While I was deciding between the two prices, I took out cash, and she suddenly informed me, “Oh, we only accept credit cards.” I explained that I had waited 20 minutes and saw no signage anywhere indicating credit-card-only payments. Her response? “You could have come this morning—we open at 9.” What that had to do with anything, I have no idea. I went home to get my credit card and returned about 30 minutes later, only to find three customers waiting while the same employee was in the back loudly gossiping instead of helping people. I finally said, “Maybe you should be out here helping customers instead of being in the back room gossiping!” I decided to leave because I felt, after my horrific experience, I wouldn’t put it past her to purposefully damage my package! I walked all the way to the Snyder Ave. location, and the difference was night and day. I shipped my package using cash, added the extra $100 insurance with no problems, and was treated with basic courtesy—something the Dickinson location seems to lack entirely. If you want to wait in line for 15+ minutes with one rude employee at a location that has three windows, then the 925 Dickinson Post Office is for you. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere—Snyder Ave. is a much better option.

The post office counter staff have been friendly and helpful whenever I visit. Like that this location has 2 secure transparent shelves for leaving pre-paid packages (at QVPO location, you put pkgs on open cart). Come after 10:30am if you get a notice that a package is being held for you, to allow them to sort the mail. The main issue is how short-staffed they are. They don't do passports at this location. Street parking is tight, but nearby ACME lot works for a quick trip here.

not only did the staff have ZERO sense of urgency, but she was outright rude. The one worker on duty was already working slowly and seemed annoyed by my simple question. When I asked for help, she yelled at me, and when I tried to explain the issue, she started whispering under her breath, clearly complaining about me. I honestly thought I was going crazy. This is customer service?! Notable thing to mention instead of just telling a customer she couldn’t take cash because there was no change, she kept repeating no cash without explaining and taunting the man. I’ve never been treated with such disrespect. consider hiring people with decent manners.
