Alana M a month agoI understand that the postal service is understaffed and stressed, but they’ve got an elderly man working the counter (by himself) at opening time. The waiting patron rang the bell. I rang the bell. The elderly gentlemen rang his bell for backup (no less than 7 times). Then he goes back and gets the first guy’s packages himself, and resumes helping customers. He rang it again. Then, a dude in a suit came out and was like, “You need something?” (Because he couldn’t see the line of people and didn’t know they had opened 15 minutes earlier.) the gentleman needlessly nodded towards the line. Then he explained to me that the window was only for drop off and I could’ve used the slot. But I needed to buy postage, too. He’s like, “Go get back in that line then.” I said, “Wow.” Suit man says, “Why’d you say ‘wow’?” I replied, “Because we rang that bell, like 15 times.” He no likey. This post office is terrible, and I feel bad for that dude thinking somebody in the back is gonna help him after 10 rings of the bell. But that was comically bad service.
Michael McCullough 4 months agoToday we got passport photos and applications done. Nicole could not have been more amazing. She was very kind, diligent, knowledgable and quick. Completing a task that is widely considered to be mundane and frustrating, our experience was anything but that. Nicole made an extremely positive impact on our day. I also drop packages off here on a semi-routine basis. I've always found the entire staff here to be friendly, helpful and fast. In a word, excellent. Today just highlighted that experience, and I thought I should report.
Paul Orfanu 5 months agoExcellent customer service experience in my long time living experience internationally (Europe, Canada, USA)! The staff is outstandingly helpful, thorough, prompt, caring, knowledgeable, positive. Example is Michael, who patiently and efficiently went the very extra mile to ensure a best process of my short notice of address change (hold mail, change of address forms, where & when to get updates from during the address transfer) very patiently, thoroughly, caring, while explaining the process and options, giving me great peace of mind, checking each time I went the status with carriers. Similar great positive attitude I noticed from Xavier, Chris, Gonzo, Sherrise, showing consistency within the staff. The carrier for route 511 shows outstanding professionalism, thoroughness and promptitude, specially given the complex high rise building delivery. I strongly recommend this USPS office!
Steven Busse 4 months agoOne of the best run Post Offices in NW Austin. Shorter lines than the Far West Location. More employees on staff. I go there two or three times a week. Don't believe the negative BS over a one time experience. They aren't allowed to open or early or let customers get in line after closing time.
Shane Anciso a year agohere is what you need to know before coming here no public restrooms plenty of parking but a little tricky to get into because you're technically that's supposed to you turn around depending on which direction you're coming from to get here around the Walmart northcross shopping Center and apartments across the street on the other hand I will go above and beyond to get to this location because this location hires staff that go above and beyond to help you and every way and I have always been able to get in and out of here quickly and in a reasonable time regardless of how busy they are And thankfully they're not very busy on average they do a great job of keeping up with the flow of traffic and get your packages delivered here and they even go above and beyond to make sure to help you like the gentleman today even educated me on prepaid labels and making sure it always have them scan it so they know to have you a tracking number and proof that you dropped it off and go above and beyond plenty of room inside plenty of post office boxes plenty of room to get your packages and even some things that you can pre-order here with the great selection highly recommend this location over any other USPS when you need the ship something by mail and especially getting in and out in a reasonable time
