Located at street level inside the 2 Houston Center. Open from 10 am-4 pm. Closed for lunch from 12:55 pm-1 pm. If she’s stepped away, there will be a note on the door. Theres only one lady working this post office and she’s great! Always scans and ships my packages quickly. I get the “package scanned for tracking” info minutes after dropping off.

The hotel I stayed at for my business trip had a post office conveniently nearby, although its exact location isn’t very obvious on the map. It’s on the first floor of the landmark building. After entering through the revolving door, you don’t need to take the escalator. Just turn left, then left again, and you’ll see it. The staff were very friendly, and I was able to mail my letters without any trouble.

Went to this location on February 23, 2026 and the receipt has time printed as 3:15 PM. The service provider at the desk was a black lady with blonde braids. She was quite rude and very dismissive and she felt very entitled and in a rush to get us out of there, she spoke to me as if I was a child and when she gave me my receipt, she had the audacity to be rude and say that she didn't even have to do the job that she's getting paid for because I didn't say thank you when she gave me my receipt. Because she was rude the entirety of the interaction. If you hate ur job quit dont transfer that energy to us

Very disappointing experience at this USPS location. I mailed a domestic parcel with a non-standard but clearly labelled “TO” and “FROM” address layout. Instead of politely explaining USPS preferred formatting, the clerk ripped my labels off, replaced them, and berated me for “doing it wrong.” Afterwards I checked the USPS addressing guidance myself, and it appears standard address placement is described as “preferred” or “recommended” for automation purposes, not the only acceptable layout. A bit of professionalism, discretion, and basic customer service would have gone a long way. I’ll be going elsewhere next time.

This place is a little difficult to find if you don't know where you're going. It definitely does exist though. After entering the building from McKinney and Fannin at street level, take two escalator bays up and then keep walking straight back as if you're going to walk to the outdoor terrace. Take a right just before the terrace and you'll spot the post office. The hours listed on Google are a little off. It's open 10am to 12:45pm and then again from 2:15pm to 4:00pm. I guess Google can't post business hours in 15 minute increments? The staff has always been very friendly each time I've dropped by and will suggest the most cost effective method of getting my items from point A to point B.
