US Post Office Carrier Annex

I arrived at this post office on February 25 at approximately 15 minutes before the posted closing time, and it was already closed. This is extremely frustrating and unprofessional. Customers rely on the published hours, and closing early shows a disregard for people’s time and responsibilities. If the official closing time is posted as 5 PM, the office MUST remain open and fully operational until that exact time. Consistency and accountability are essential for public services. They never open earlier to help anyone, so they should NEVER close earlier. I hope management addresses this issue to ensure it does not happen again. If it does not change, I hope they change the management IMMEDIATELY. Clearly something is not working, because this USPS location has a very poor rating review already.

I've had no issues with this place for 2 years. I run a small business and ship a good amount of things weekly. Depending on where I'm at is where I drop off. I ring the bell at this location to make sure my packages are secure. Normally the handlers are very friendly and grab them without issue. Since the woman with the glasses has started she has been nothing but unfriendly and borderline rude. I've let that go for the majority of the time. But today was the final straw. When I rang the bell it took time which happens but I could hear them near there and it seemed like it was being ignored. So after over 5 minutes I gave it another ring and she answers and asked why I just don't leave them there rudely no hello know nothing honestly that is the first thing she's ever said to me in the probably year I have been dropping with her there. My overall experience with the US post office has been very positive and the majority of their employees are great this is the one who has been completely disrespectful. Just come to the point where I try to avoid this location just because I don't want to deal with her rudeness.

I’ve never left a review like this before, but after multiple unpleasant experiences at this location I feel the need to say something. The woman who answers the door is consistently rude, unwelcoming, and has a terrible attitude. I dread coming here because of how terrible she makes the interaction. She doesn’t greet you, rarely acknowledges you’re even there, and acts like helping you is a burden. Once, I said, “Good morning! I have two packages to ship,” and she snapped back with, “What is this?” no eye contact, no courtesy, just attitude. That’s the only thing she’s ever said to me and I've been to this location over 30 times b/c I have a small business. I understand this is the post office and customer service is not a priority, but basic human decency isn’t too much to ask. I come here often but I’m done. I’ll go out of my way to avoid this location. It’s disappointing that someone can treat people this way and remain in a public facing role.

Staff member was extremely rude and acting like doing her job was a huge inconvenience. I truly miss the days of human decency.

This is the place that handles holds for my area. Instead of my mail being held for the month that I was away, it was all jammed into my mailbox and damaged. Rachael, the manager, claimed that they never got my hold request because it was filed online and they don’t have reliable internet at the Shorewood Carrier Annex. This is very hard to believe. Instead of apologizing for their mistake, she acted like it was my fault for filing my request online. She told me to complete a paper form next time and go directly to their annex to drop it off. Like it is 1983 and the internet hasn’t been invented.
