This is my favorite Post Office! Employees are helpful, kind, efficient, and knowledgeable! If there is a line it usually dissipates pretty quickly. It is kept clean and unlike some other post offices, it is open until 4 pm on Saturdays. 📦

I have dropped off Flat Rate prepaid boxes for shipping a few time at the Midway Post Office. The location is very handy. Near MCRD and NTC the PO is near Rosecrans and PCH. The hours make it easy to drop packages. The staff has always been grand helpful. Tip: Use caution dropping your shipments in the lobby bin…make sure your box doesn’t get stuck in the door contraption.

I had the best experience. Lily literally saved me, thanks to her I was able to receive my package, she went out of her way to help me with a very complicated situation, she took the time and was very patient with me, she is an angel. And later on when I came to pick up my package her friends at the branch gave me the same professional service as she did. To Lily and all the employees of this post office thank you so much I will never forget it. Keep up the good work guys 👍

Oh Clerk 22 (thats what listed on my receipt) at this location has a major attitude problem. When I came first to this location and was served by Clerk 22 I thought she was just having a bad day, but now after going there 2 more times and being served again by her, every day is a bad day for her! And not just me, she is treating poorly every single customer! Imagine how many people walking away and I don’t blame them, I will not be going there, that’s for sure. I came on Monday at around 2pm, it was pretty busy and line was moving rather slow. Clerk 22 and another USPS Clerk (gentleman in his 30-40s I assume) was serving customers. The gentleman in front of me realizing Clerk 22 will serve him asked me if I wanted to go ahead and I told “oh no, I am very happy I will be served by that gentleman, sorry 😄” who was very polite to others and was working pretty fast. Clearly the gentleman in front of me had the similar poor experience with Clerk 22 before. So I happily walked to the window and when I told him I needed cashiers checks he told me I had to go back in line and see Clerk 22 since he “was not given any money orders yet”, I assume he was new here and not able to do that. I walked back to Clerk 22 who was explaining something to another USPS employee. 2 min later she finally looked at me and nodded her head for me to approach. No greeting, no response to my greeting or me asking how is she doing -clearly not well, yet again! Well silly me expecting rude person will respond to polite remark or at least try to be nicer. She got very visibly upset when she saw a cash that she needed to count (surprisingly they don’t have Bill Counter), then she lost the count half way, got even more upset and started again putting 20s in 100 batches and counting loudly. Clerk 22 clearly has no idea about privacy or security, mine (maybe not that important to her) but hers and her colleagues- I am about to walk out with money orders in hand for 2k wheres she physically has now $2k in her till. Stores get robbed for less cash in the middle of day and here’s she advertising there’s cash right there. She printed me money orders, circled the receipt and mumbled “leave a review”… Oh I’m going to leave a review alright! Past reviews about horrible service at this location is not a coincidence, employees here should do much better. Some serious training is required. And Clerk 22 needs some vacation time or maybe do job at the back office where interaction with customers is not required.

General Delivery hours are 10 am to 2 pm. This is not obviously posted on their web page and, as we are from out of town, we were completely unaware. We had a flight to leave SD the next morning and couldn't wait for the next day to pickup this package. The clerk bent the rules a little and helped us anyway. She was great. USPS is great. This one little inconvenience is not great.
