I was getting my first prepaid priority envelope today. And the young gentleman working there, helped me with step-by-step instructions on a very calmly manner. He even highlighted the necessary things that I need to know. What a pleasant experience.

Got a re-delivery receipt and they asked me to pick up my package here. Went there at 1pm with an uber and they have lunch break from 12:30 - 2pm!!! They should have the information printed on the receipt so I don’t need to pick $20 usd uber and wasted my time here. (And I need to go back again! So crazy). They close at 5pm. Seems like a very short work day if you work here.

This location was empty when I got there around 11:15am One person working and provided me with quick and friendly service. With that said I can see if more than a few people came here how the lobby / waiting area could get crowded quickly. The entrance on Jackson is to the PO Box area only and it does not connect to the main post office. The entrance to the post office is on Maynard into a nondescript entry into an apartment a right into the post office space.

I’ve had consistently poor experiences at this USPS location, and it’s by far the worst I’ve ever visited. Long lines and waits are expected at USPS, but that’s not the issue here. The problem lies with one specific employee—a woman who appears to have been working here for years. Her behavior is unprofessional, disrespectful, and, at times, discriminatory. This location serves a predominantly Asian-American community due to its Chinatown location, yet I’ve seen her repeatedly treat customers of Asian descent with open hostility. She belittles and yells at customers and has even told someone to “learn English,” which is completely unacceptable. Her dismissive and rude attitude creates an unpleasant and stressful atmosphere. On a lighter note, the older gentleman who sometimes works the counter in the evenings is wonderful. He is courteous, professional, and treats everyone with respect. It’s a shame his approach isn’t mirrored by all staff here. To top it off, the recently added sign with the new hours looks completely unprofessional—like an afterthought rather than a proper update. It feels like a small detail, but it reflects poorly on the management and organization of this location. This USPS branch desperately needs management intervention and staff training to improve customer experience and basic professionalism.

THIS IS NOT A PICKUP LOCATION FOR MISSED DELIVERIES!! Even if your slip says this address, they do NOT have it! A shorter female employee told me they don't do mail pickup at the Maynard location. You will have to call the 1 800 number to find out where your mail is imprisoned. There's got to be a better system. (appreciate the employee who helped me at 4:59 even though they were trying to close!)
